Which areas to sort out first

The entry and the lawn along the street come first, because that's where people arrive. Path edges come next, along with the planting around your sign and the car park.

Take photos of the entry, the sign and the paths visitors use.
Note which spots tenants, customers or inspectors see first.
List the tidy up jobs out the back separately, since those can wait.

Tell us roughly how big the frontage is, what times we can get in, and whether there's an inspection or opening date to work towards.

Hedges, pruning and access

Planning the hedging and pruning

Hedges next to entries, paths and car parks need to stay neat and out of people's way. We trim them back without cutting so hard that the plants struggle, and we take the green waste away.

Show how tall and long the hedges are, and whether we can reach both sides.
Point out anything hanging over signs, windows, driveways, bins or walkways.
Say if it's a one off cut back or something you'd like kept in shape on regular visits.

Include in your request

Give us rough hedge sizes and any limits on access. If the work has to stay clear of trading hours or busy times for tenants, say so.

Weeds in the paths and garden beds make a site look neglected fast. Left too long, they start getting in the way of people walking through.

Photograph the weeds in paving cracks, garden beds and along the fence line.
Show where they're close to entries, bin areas or shared outdoor spaces.
Tell us if you'd like organic methods tried first, or if people will be around while we work.

Regular and seasonal visits

How often should we come?

That comes down to how fast the lawn and hedges grow, how many weeds come up and how much of the site people see. Gardens grow fast in Brisbane's warm, wet months, so sites may need more visits then than in winter. We'll recommend a schedule once we've looked at the site.

Decide between regular visits, seasonal work, or a clean up first with regular visits after.
List your busy hours, anything tenants have asked for, and spots we can't block.
Show us trouble spots like dry beds or hedges crowding a path.

A one off garden clean up suits a site that's fallen behind before an inspection, a tenant handover or a busy period. If the lawns, hedges, weeds and paths need to stay under control from one visit to the next, regular commercial garden maintenance makes more sense.
